# Using Canvas Templates

## Steps

### Step 1: Open the templates

Open "Layouts", then "Templates". Pick a category to narrow things down.

> **Note:** A layout is a full-screen design: text, images and live apps, arranged on a canvas. A template is a finished layout you can copy, so you only change what is different.

### Step 2: Preview and use it

Click a template to preview it, then choose "Use Template".

### Step 3: Name your copy

The template opens in the editor as your own copy. Give it a name.

### Step 4: Change the text

Double-click any text to change it. Here, a price is updated.

### Step 5: Save

When you are happy with it, choose "Save".

### Step 6: Put it on your screen

Open your screen. Under "Content", pick the layout, and save your changes. Within seconds, your design is on the screen.

> **Note:** Templates and the layout editor are Premium features, so the screen that shows a layout needs a Premium licence.
