# How to turn your LG Smart TV into digital signage (without extra hardware)

## What you need

You need a compatible LG webOS television, internet access, the TV remote and a phone or computer for the Signage Space dashboard. App availability depends on model, webOS version and region.

**Step 1: Install Signage Space from the LG Content Store**

Press Home on your LG remote. Open the LG Content Store or the apps area, search for Signage Space and select Install. Launch the app from the launcher. The app does not require you to type your account password on the TV, which makes screen handover easier.

**Step 2: Pair the LG TV to your account**

The player shows a six-letter pairing code. On a laptop or phone, visit [signagespace.com](http://signagespace.com) and sign in or create a free account. Go to Screens, choose Add Screen and enter the displayed code. Give the screen a practical name such as “Reception LG TV.” If a code expires or changes, use the one currently displayed on the TV.

**Step 3: Publish your first content**

Upload a landscape image or a short video in the dashboard and add it to a playlist. Assign the playlist to your paired LG screen. Start with a simple welcome message so you can verify playback, sizing and connectivity before creating a larger campaign. Make sure text is legible at the actual viewing distance.

**Step 4: Manage it remotely**

Once the screen is paired, change the playlist from the dashboard without returning to the TV with a USB drive. That is useful for rotating offers, seasonal campaigns or changing a reception notice. Check the screen's online status if new content does not appear as expected.

## Can you start free?

Signage Space Basic currently includes one free screen, playlists and a 200 MB storage allowance, with a 10 MB limit per upload.
