## What the player does

The player is the free app installed on the screen itself. It signs in once, then plays whatever the dashboard assigns to it: it auto-updates in the background, caches content so playback survives a dropped connection, and runs fullscreen with no browser chrome.

## Available builds

- Android TV and Android mobile — on Google Play as `com.signagespace.webplayerapp`, or as a direct APK for devices without Play Services
- macOS — separate Apple Silicon and Intel builds
- Windows — 64-bit installer (.exe) for Windows 10 and 11
- Linux — universal .AppImage, plus .deb for Ubuntu/Debian and .rpm for Fedora/RedHat
- Samsung Tizen and LG webOS — installed from the manufacturer app stores
- Raspberry Pi and anything else with a browser — the web player needs no install

## Setting a screen up

Install the player, open it, and it shows a pairing code. Enter that code in the dashboard to register the screen, then assign a playlist, channel, or layout to it.
