# Setting Up Your First Screen

## Steps

### Step 1: Create your SignageSpace account

Visit SignageSpace and sign up using your Google account or email. Once logged in, you'll be taken to the dashboard where you can manage all your screens and content.

### Step 2: Install the SignageSpace app on your TV

On an LG Smart TV, open the LG Content Store and install SignageSpace Player — no extra device needed. On any other screen, use an Android TV or a Smart Box and download the SignageSpace app from the Google Play Store. Open the app and a 6-character pairing code will appear on the screen.

> **Tip:** For the best experience, use a device with a stable Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. Wired connections are more reliable for 24/7 signage.

### Step 3: Register the screen in the CMS

In the SignageSpace dashboard, go to the Screens page and click "Add Screen". Enter the pairing code displayed on your device. Give your screen a descriptive name like "Lobby Display" or "Breakroom TV".

> **Note:** Screen names help you identify displays when managing multiple locations. Use a naming convention like "Location - Room" for easy organization.

### Step 4: Assign content to your screen

Once paired, select your screen and assign a playlist, channel, or layout to it. The content will begin playing on your display within seconds. You can change the assigned content at any time from the dashboard.
