# Using the App Store to Enhance Your Displays

## Steps

### Step 1: Browse the App Store

Navigate to "Apps" in the sidebar. You'll see two tabs: "My Apps" and "App Store". Switch to the "App Store" tab to browse a catalog of available apps. Each app card shows its name, description, and whether it's free or premium.

### Step 2: Install an app

Click on an app to view its details, then click "Create" to add an instance of the app to your account. Some apps require configuration — for example, the Weather app needs a location, and the YouTube app needs a video URL.

> **Tip:** You can create multiple instances of the same app with different configurations — e.g., multiple Clock apps showing different time zones.

### Step 3: Configure the app

After creating an app instance, configure its settings. Each app has different options. The Clock app lets you choose a timezone and style, while the Web Embed app requires a URL to display.

### Step 4: Add the app to a playlist

Once configured, your app instance appears under the "My Apps" tab in the Apps page. You can add it to any playlist just like a media file. Set its display duration in the playlist settings.

### Step 5: Understand premium apps

Some apps are marked with a crown icon indicating they require a Premium subscription. If you're on the Basic plan, you can upgrade from the Subscription page to unlock premium apps like Weather.
