In Signage Space, every screen you manage requires a license to operate. Licenses determine what features are available for your screens and how much content you can upload. There are two types of screen licenses available: Basic (Free) and Premium (Paid).
Basic License (Free)
The Basic License allows users to start using Signage Space at no cost. This is ideal for small businesses, test setups, or users who are just exploring digital signage.
- Free of charge
- Up to 3 Basic Licenses per account: You can connect and manage a maximum of three screens under the Basic plan.
- File size limit: 4MB per upload. Users with only Basic Licenses can upload image or video files up to 4MB each.
- Total storage limit: 200MB. Your total account storage capacity is limited to 200MB if you do not have any Premium Licenses.
- Feature limitations: Basic screens do not support content scheduling. Basic screens cannot use channels to organize or automate content playback.
The Basic License is perfect for users who want to display static content or run simple digital signage screens.
Premium License (Subscription-Based)
The Premium License unlocks the full power of Signage Space and is designed for professional users who want advanced control, flexibility, and unlimited scalability.
- Subscription-based model: Users pay a monthly fee per Premium License.
- Unlimited number of Premium Licenses: There is no limit on how many Premium Licenses you can purchase or assign to your screens.
- File size limit: 100MB per upload. Premium users can upload much larger files, making it easy to display high-quality videos and graphics.
- Unlimited total storage: Once you have at least one Premium License, your account storage becomes unlimited.
- Advanced features included:
- Channels: Organize your content into channels for different screens or locations.
- Scheduling: Set specific days and times for your content to play automatically.
Premium Licenses offer the full professional digital signage experience, allowing you to manage content dynamically and scale your network effortlessly.
How licensing works
Each screen in your Signage Space account must have a license; either Basic or Premium.
- When you create a new screen, it will automatically use a Basic License (if available).
- You can assign a Premium License to any screen once you subscribe.
- After assigning a Premium License, that screen immediately gains access to channels, scheduling, and unlimited storage.
Example: If you have 3 screens, you can assign:
- 2 screens with Basic Licenses
- 1 screen with a Premium License
In this case, your account will also benefit from unlimited storage since at least one Premium License is active.
